They seemed like such a nice person. This is one of the number one comments survivors of covert narcissistic abuse hear. Covert narcissists’ behaviors are more introverted. They do not display in the same general narcissist do, which make it hard to detect.
If you find yourself feeling confused about what happened to the nice loving person you once knew who seemed like they may have had some confidence and low self-esteem issues but was harmless this might be it. Covert narcissists are just that covert. They fly under many people’s radars.
