Narcissists are exhausting. I do not have to tell you this. Time to invest in what is healthy for yourself. This means setting boundaries, exploring options, and other elements of self-care.

Feeling like your life is out of control happens a lot in a narcissistic abusive relationship. Create a structure for yourself. Make a to-do list, have routines, make notes on your phone, and write things down. Do all the things that will support your progress.

Practice identifying your emotions  

There is a mix of emotions you will feel when you are connected to a narcissist. It is possible to feel another wave of emotions even if you are not with the narcissist. Begin to identify your emotions. Do not judge your emotions as good or bad. If it is healthy you can honor it if it is unhealthy explore ways to support yourself.

First, you have to know what your values are, then start living them. Practice asking yourself if it honors or violates your boundaries before you proceed. This helps you to gain more clarity.
